Marketing Ethics: We’re All Talk

The annual Business Symposium is Ayers CCI’s signature event. Each year the symposium features distinguished guest speakers who present on a theme that is relevant to the current state of the business world, followed by a reception, in which everyone comes together to discuss the stimulating ideas over a networking dinner.
The theme for the 2014-2015 school year was Marketing Ethics, and featured a panel consisting of Mr. Ross Bundy from Turn, Dr. Ron Nahser from DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business, Ms. Mavis Prall from the American Medical Association, and Dr. Ginger Pennington from our very own Department of Psychology at Northwestern University.
One of the most successful symposia in CCI’s history, this year’s symposium raised interesting perspectives on ethical marketing in the online space, in the medical field, and the bigger picture on the significance of ethical marketing. Many insightful and probing questions were posed to the panel, and the topic continued to receive attention throughout dinner, with guests representing Nielsen and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, along with the panel.
